Air Inlet Ducting
Each turbine manufacturer has its own air intake arrangement depending upon the turbo-machinery design and power plant building configuration. It can be frontal, on top of the roof with a single or multi-faces inlet. The clean air must be transported in the most aerodynamic manner towards the compressor air inlet, allowing for the desired air treatment. The inserted power enhancement devices, the anti-icing and the exhaust emission control systems in addition to the noise abatement silencer must be crossed with the least energy losses and the adequate flow or heat distribution.
The adequate noise insulation contributes in achieving the required noise power environmental limits.
